Subaru of America is offering free vehicle diagnostics (at participating dealers and locatins) during the month of October. The tests will emphasize items that affect fuel economy as well as provide overall driving tips to help increase mileage. More information can be found on Subaru’s Fall Car Care website.
Apparently Subaru’s advertising agency, Carmichael Lynch, doesn’t know it’s clients own products. In a message received by Autoblog about Carmichael dropping a Subaru 360 on the 10th floor of it’s Minneapolis office building (after landing the ‘07 Subaru contract)…they ended the email with the following excerpt:
Today’s Subaru Forrester, Outback, Impreza, Legacy, Tribeca and WRX can each trace their lineage back to the Subaru 360.

Click the “Related URL” link above for fun pictures of a Subaru 360 (circa 1968) that was “carried” up to the 10th floor of agency Carmichael Lynch where it now greets visitors to the Minneapolis advertising agency.
Carmichael Lynch handles all advertising, media, digital advertising and dealer support for Subaru of America. Shortly after the agency’s partnership with Subaru was announced in 2007, Carmichael Lynch located this classic and rare Subaru 360. The car needed a bit of work – but now is ready to be on display in the 10th floor lobby.
The Subaru 360 was first sold in the U.S in the late 1960’s – the car was in production from 1958-71.
On Saturday morning, the car was hoisted, with great care, by crane through a removed window panel of the agency’s 10th floor.
Today’s Subaru Forrester, Outback, Impreza, Legacy, Tribeca and WRX can each trace their lineage back to the Subaru 360.
Enjoy the pictures!
A quick update on our previous post about the Scoobies for Boobies team for the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk:
While the auto industry seems to be stalling–or all out crashing in the past several months, Subaru is gaining some traction, boasting 129,298 unit sales, an almost 6% increase from last year. Despite having some of the lowest industry customer intensives.
Devtoaster is currently developing (in beta) a program called REV to read and display live data on your iPhone or iPod touch read directly from your OBDII port.
