Devtoaster REV Ipod / Iphone OBDII Software

Devtoaster is currently developing (in beta) a program called REV to read and display live data on your iPhone or iPod touch read directly from your OBDII port.

REV can read data directly from your vehicles OBDII port via an OBDII WAN device and your iPod touch or iPhone’s integrated wireless connectivity.

Rev is an application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that provides graphical representations of real-time vehicle data. By communicating directly with your vehicle’s ECU, Rev can monitor several vehicle metrics:

  • Vehicle Speed
  • RPM
  • Fuel Consumption
  • Engine Coolant Temperature
  • Fuel Pressure
  • and lots more!

This is an interesting alternative to current OBDII monitors such as COBB’s AP. Stay tuned for a review…once I can get my hands on the OBDII WAN hardware.

That’s a great concept and I hope they manage to get it well sorted. Much better than carting a laptop around to read your codes.
