The good news: the guys at Devtoaster have finally released their OBDII to WIFI adapter. The bad news: it’s $229.00.

The new converter allows you to use the fully featured REV ipod / iphone software (available on iTunes store soon).

The new hardware features:

WiFi OBD2/EOBD interface for Rev. Supports 802.11b (11Mbps) and 802.11g (54Mbps).

• Manufactured in Germany under strict European Union standards.
• Easy WiFi setup.
• Ad-hoc networking allows you to connect to Rev and EDGE/3G simultaneously.
• FCC, CE, and RoHS compliant

Supported protocols:
• ISO 15765-4 (CAN)
• SAE J1850 PWM
• SAE J1850 VPW
• ISO 9141-2
• ISO 14230-4
• SAE J1939

Rev, in combination with this device, supports virtually all vehicles available in the United States after 1996.

Includes OBD-II cable.

This does not include the Rev software. Rev must be purchased on the iTunes App Store on your iPhone/iPod touch, or using your Mac or Windows computer.

I still cant wait to start hearing from people using the software. If you have let me know!
